What the hell is Sandstrom doing going with Riley?!

I know this team is entertaining and call score goals but with their lack of toughness and defensive weakness to me they don’t really seem like a team that meets the Steelers identity of old.

Disappointing result. I really hope they’re saving themselves for Sunday.

I’ll take this if we make a better game of it on Sunday.

Two losses will be difficult to stomach.

The Devils were the better team. Their defence were all over our players as soon as they got any where their net. Bown's had very little to do. Their forwards were both strong on the puck, and very clinical. They made their goals look very easy, however where were our defence that's the question. Not that I blame Duba but he looked a bit shaky at times, but it may be that he did not think he could reply on his defence, who knows. Plus Duba had a lot more to do than Bowns,

Vallerand and Connelly did not get a look in. I think the Devils have just got too much for us at the moment. They will be feeling very confident now going in to the game on Sunday. Not sure how Fox can change his game plan for Sunday, but lets hope he can. Plus we will have more fans and noise to cheer our lads on.

Hope our fans in Cardiff staying for the game on Sunday all enjoy their day off tomorrow. Great place to look around, especially the city bus tour. We will all recharge our batteries, including the players and get ready for another battle on Sunday.

Don't get to down guy's , I think tonight you may have let go of your chance of winning the league but Sunday's CC Final is still a 50-50 game. With your firepower you have a great chance of the playoffs too. It's good to have you back....

I almost Guarantee they were Neil, the league had all but gone IMO, Sunday's game and then the play offs have been our best chance realistically for silverware for a while... This time last season I would have snatched your hand off to be in 1 final and still in the running for the league heading into the play offs... overoptimistic yes, but a realist always. Disappointed but not upset... :meh:

Tonight armstrong lemtygov and davies went missing. Were as Cardiff's big players turned up
Armstrong and Lemtyugov regularly go missing yet still recieve plaudits.

Really don’t get the fuss over either of them tbh.

It’s been an issue for a while now, we are physically week. Our players don’t make any attempt to play the body, instead, choosing to poke check or block lanes. That’s no good when you have to win 1-2-1 scraps and battles close in or are scrapping in corners and along the boards. You have to get dirty and we don’t. We’re too nice.

We have come along way but there’s still along way to go as we’ve seen throughout the season.

There is quite a reaction on here to this game, which I didn't see. It does seem to me however that it has confirmed what many have been saying for some time. We are soft/weak at the back, some of our forwards don't care to contribute too much defensively and the same guys go missing when it matters.

I would expect AF to notice all of the above and be planning his side for next season. We have come so far this term from the rubbish served up over recent seasons and I agree with Jayboy that still to be in contention for silverware in March is what many said was a benchmark fot this team.

We've certainly closed the gap on all but Cardiff and if we learn quickly enough Sunday's game is there to be won.
