Sad news of Andre passing away last night.
A real love hate character, but a character afterall & something the modern game is sometimes lacking in.
I disliked him as an opposition player & then chatted to him when he was at the Dogs. He was always willing to make time to talk about the game, and a real decent fella.
R.I.P.

What sad news. Love him or hate him, he was always watchable. Whatever was happening in the game, you always had one eye on him. Somewhat predictable in his unpredictability and such a huge name in hockey

What a legend, what a bloke, and what a hole in the sport he leaves behind.

RIP

We met Andre at the play offs. We were sat in the Angel, with friends who were Newcastle Vipers fans, when AP appeared. He was happy to stop and chat, coming across as a genuine guy.
RIP Andre.

I would be nice if we could dedicate a minute to him before the game.

I echo the thoughts above. He was probably the last opposing player that I really looked forward to watching.

Last of the pantomime villains and I mean that as a huge compliment.

He was also as tough as they come though.

RIP Andre.

A better player than many have him credit for but knew his role and carried that role out better than many.

A sad loss to the sport but also his family.

There will be a minutes silence in his honour before your game at Coventry on Sunday, the fans are doing a minutes applause in the 7th minute tonight so I guess they may do the same at the weekend, would be great if you guys could join in.
Thanks
