According to Westerdale in the Star, young Mr Mitchell is due into the country, fully fit, this coming weekend.

What do you think happens to Pitule then? Has he performed well enough, or should he start packing up?

I think he's been decent, put up some points, decent at face-offs and I'm pretty sure at some point Fox was quoted saying when he was on the 4th line with Whistle and Jono, that, that line was playing the system the best, so wouldn't be surprised to see him stick around, whether that be in the lineup or as a spare? Don't know if we can carry a spare with also having Ostlund (or Greenfield) in the stands again when he's fit.

Honestly I dont know how this will go because Mason Mitchell is a top 6 forward and Tomáš Pitule is a 4th line skater so no real comparison there.. So the only way it works is if Fox believes he is worth hanging onto as injury cover! that has merit because he is already integrated as part of the team, knows the systems and has played well albeit at a 4th line level. But keeping a him has got to be for the greater good and I cant see purley has a player who else on the team he would replace so if you believe that he can only ever can be 13th or 14 forward and we have Cole Shudra and Alex Graham to fill those numbers!
I personally dont rate him too highly, he hasn't done a great deal wrong either I do get that, and he has got 2 goal and an assist to his name and fox seems to like him so what do I know...

If there is room in the budget to bring de luca back for pitula that's a no brained for me..rest and rotate the forwards and I think we could look a real threat for silverware.

Really pleased that my unfounded concerns of Mason not arriving were indeed incorrect.

Hope he soon get’s fit enough to play and has some time around his new team mates. He could be an excellent addition. Really looking forward to seeing him play.

Can’t see us keeping Pitule now. Scratching two imports a game once everyone is fit is quite a lot for our league.
