Re: Steelers signings and departures

What worries me is we seem to be doing the same with recruiting as we did for the last two years and expecting different results. Richie was a much vaunted NHL player too but didn't make the team that much better and Pu and Gentile were maybe players who turned out to be never rather than maybe. Per...

Re: Steelers signings and departures

Very Happy with Diffley. A bit of an unsung hero sometimes. Apart from Tait though I'm not too bothered if there are no more returners import-wise

Re: Rumours 26/27

I suppose Neumann would be no great surprise as he had a good season with Braehead and still looked speedy on his visits here. No idea why we booed him though . He was instrumental in winning a grand slam with us .

Re: Rumours 26/27

I personally would take Pearson too. He is big, fast , very good hands and a hockey brain. He may be a loose cannon I don't know , but we have a history of lots of players who were like that but became heroes here , going right back to Rick Brabant !

Re: Team Changes, Keep or Release

Agree with a lot of that but would keep Tait for his sheer speed , Diffley and Huutalla who virtually ran the defence in the last few months with long tiring minutes in each game. I think Southorn and Dougherty left it to those two and won't be missed. Fine people that they both are. Age has caught ...

Re: GAME THREAD. Steelers v Devils: PLAYOFF FINAL

Can Paul Adey and Murphy get any more biased.? So far they have told us how great each Devils player is and any trips on us are “ Good, no- calls “
As for the scream of We hate Steelers during the National Anthem, what would be said if we shouted during the Welsh anthem?

Re: GAME THREAD: Steelers v Flames: PLAYOFF Q-Final: Sun 12th April

This is how we know they can play , they have demolished several teams below them in the league this season with big scorelines. The test will come next weekend in the pressure cooker of the playoffs. Lets hope they show this level of flair , determination and controlled aggression. Well done. We go...

Re: GAME THREAD: Devils v Steelers: Wednesday 1st April

I don't think Foxy is against tough play per se. In the interview he says we won't win matches if you don't punch someone in the face if they have punched you. He has been saying for sometime that players are coasting and not willing to put their bodies on the line. He needs to let us know who they ...
